Argh! Were you going to try and get away with it?
If you’re doing any email marketing – even a one off invite to an event, you need to seriously consider your subject lines.
At Top Left Design, we work with clients across a whole range of different sectors and see a range of different marketing skills that are unique to specific industries. This got us thinking – what if they could teach each other something?
A lot of people are surprised that I watched Love Island. I was shown the show by my friend and client Matthew, and after one episode (somewhere in the middle of the series) I decided to “graft” and went onto ITV Hub to do some serious catchup. It took many hours, but I caught up on 23 episodes in one week, and then switched to “maintenance mode” keeping up with one episode a day. If I decide to do something I stick to it.
As with any business in a competitive industry, we are constantly asked – “why are you different”? We are, after all, a design agency and digital marketing consultancy, and here are many others who have been labelled the same.
Just like a puppy is not just for Christmas, your marketing activity is not just a fly by night afterthought. This is the time to get those matchsticks out and use them to open your eyes wide to the scary facts. This is an all-important part of your business. Be brave, and read on.
What does lucky in marketing mean??
If marketing is about raising awareness, becoming associated with what you want people to think about you, communicating your key messages, being remembered, and attracting the best types of clients and opportunities – then being lucky in marketing means you are getting all that out of your marketing.
Are you though?
If you love what you are doing then you give energy to it. Positive energy. And good things come from that.
