I am not by nature a shy person, which I am very grateful for. I am happy meeting new people, I do lots of public speaking, and I am fine with chatting on the phone following up “warm leads” and enquiries.
Can you believe it’s April already? This year is flying by!
I have been busy contributing articles to lots of business and marketing publications so it’s time to take a look at where we’ve featured in the press this year so far!
Argh! Were you going to try and get away with it?
If you’re doing any email marketing – even a one off invite to an event, you need to seriously consider your subject lines.
At Top Left Design, we work with clients across a whole range of different sectors and see a range of different marketing skills that are unique to specific industries. This got us thinking – what if they could teach each other something?
A lot of people are surprised that I watched Love Island. I was shown the show by my friend and client Matthew, and after one episode (somewhere in the middle of the series) I decided to “graft” and went onto ITV Hub to do some serious catchup. I like to explain it using the 3 Ms fo Marketing – Message, Medium and Market.
- Message – the beliefs you want people to have about you and the business you are in
- Medium- the channels you will be using to get your message across (Social networks, email marketing, direct mail, blogging, content marketing)
- Market – who you want to get your message to – usually your prospects, strategic partners, stakeholders, clients and people who would give you referrals
