When I met Stuart and heard his story, I had to try his peanut butter. Luckily he had brought a jar with him to that BNI breakfast meeting! So I bought it off him.
Can you believe it, I have since met up with him twice to get 2 dozen jars, and given them to friends and family. People call it “Peanut Butter Crack”
I was interested by the story to begin with, and I promise you this peanut butter is AMAZING. Below – my interview with Stuart.
I just rejoined BNI, after taking a 2 year break. For those who don’t know, it’s a referral networking organisation, with each group having weekly breakfast meetings. I joined in 2002, did 12 years, then decided “that’s it for me” and left in 2014. but visiting a new group in 2016 got me re-enthused. I am now a member for over a year at BNI St Paul’s – so let me know if you want to visit!
From time to time we like to give a shout out to our wonderful clients. And one such client is Eaton House Group of Schools – our main contact there is Rupert Back and we have been working together for many many years now!
I am always amazed at the talent we have in our own team at TLD but sometimes I look slightly outside the company – Elisa’s husband Nick!
Behold behold – some instagram images below.
Surprisingly, sales team and marketing teams don’t necessarily bond as much as they could.
I am working with a couple of membership organisations and have just written a long email full of ideas for one of them. This was the natural start of a super useful blog post – this one!
I was alerted to this infographic by Emeric Ernoult from Agorapulse, made by the guys at Seriously Social who partnered with G2Crowd (the “#1 tool review company in the US”) – it’s got a comparison on the top 5 Rated Social Media Management Tools.
Social media is not a new trend, but it is certainly one that’s here to stay.
I first met Scott from the Skills from because we were both doing the same course “Become a Key Person of Influence” which is run by Entrevo – now “Dent” His business, along with his partner Jamie, is called The Skills Farm. They provide skills training courses in leadership, sales and customer service.
About a year and a half later, Scott got in touch and we started seriously talking about revamping their website. Scott had seen a blog post i wrote on LinkedIn and commented on it saying we should get in touch. He could see that at TLD, we do more than just design websites. We wrap it up with integrated marketing consultancy and advice on how they can clarify their message.
Fast forward to end of last year, and by the time we launched their brand new website they saw a significant increase in engagement within 48 hours of launch. We had our PR company interview them and do a bit of a write up:
Ever think you could do with a bit of improvement on your writing style?
One of the more unusual parts of my “job” is helping people write their blog content. Often, after a workshop, as a sort of freebie, I offer people my expertise in the form of notes, feedback, corrections, grammar edits and formatting.
