We have just sent our latest newsletter masterpiece and this newsletter was dedicated to the number 8. We all worked on it – writing copy, coming up with all the little details, checking for typos, putting together the HTML and images – a real team effort! Thanks to all those who helped with proofreading our test previews!

The “Pre-Holiday Facebook Game of Like” is an idea from two US based social media strategists Dorien Morin-van Dam (originally Dutch, now based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) from More in Media and Keri Jaehnig from Idea Girl Media (based in Ohio). I learned about it from my friend/client/co-speaker/social media expert Alicia Cowan.

We are proud to announce the launch of the gorgeous Kell Skött Haircare website! Kell Skött Haircare are a leading West London hairdresser, who have a reputation for creating a friendly community atmosphere, whilst still delivering a highly professional, quality service. Kell Skött Haircare needed a website that would represent it’s brand identity: warm, yet professional.
The home page has a clean and simplistic feel with a slider explaining different core values of the Kell Skött brand and presenting different high quality images to show off the visual side of the service. The site features a beautiful ‘meet the team‘ page, with a pop up light box that displays additional information about all of the staff members.
A blog page on the site is regularly updated with articles on a variety of subjects such as lifestyle, beauty and of course hair. However, our favourite feauture of the site has to be the 404 page, which we customised to include Mr and Mrs Skött’s beloved Cocker Spaniels, embodying the warm and friendly spirit of the brand.
We loved turning the Skött’s vision for their website into a reality. Here’s Jacqueline Skött’s testimonial:

Now a full time member of the TLD team, I first came to Top Left Design as an intern for two weeks when I was just 14 years old. I’ve spent a lot of time with the team helping out for the past four years and have learnt countless amounts of new and interesting things, and still have much more to learn!
