What we do is NOT always for the purpose of more money/clients/revenue. Even though we are firmly in the marketing category.

These 4 example, by the way, DO come to us for:

> A high quality bespoke customised website
> Consistent marketing material
> A transformation so that they look great and can be proud.

But NOT so they can grow their customer base.

Weird huh?

Here are 4 examples (from our own recent clients) where clients want LESS:

👉 Client A (manufacturer of rolling stock) doesn’t want any clients. They already supply a significant part of the market with what they manufacture. They want to keep their staff happy and productive so they can deliver. They need to keep their investors happy for an easier life. The marketing person in charge doesn’t want to market too much. But they also need to look like a place people are proud to be associated with.

👉 Client B (membership organisation) Doesn’t want more members! Not right now. They already cover the entire market as THE membership organisation in their sector. They need something streamlined as their one member of staff is in charge of all member requests. Down the line they’ll open membership up again.

👉 Client C (membership organisation) Didn’t want to have automation when it comes to application process or booking events. They want things old school and high touch. Their members value a high contact experience. The job of the membership secretary is to think about how to keep their members feeling they’re a part of something

👉 Client D doesn’t want to be accessible. They want discretion. They don’t want to show their email address or their number. They have a huge fund and don’t want to be inundated by people who are not the right fit. So in this case we’d create a bigger barrier to entry, rather than the other way around. This will filter out those who aren’t serious.

For each of these, we take into account their needs and create the pages and user journey to meet their goals.

It’s more common than you’d think!
