I had been so annoyed and bored every time I looked for information on GDPR. It’s overwhelming, confusing and stressful.
I guess the counter-question for this is: Why would the majority of businesses today either be doing something about social media, or otherwise mortifyingly aware that they aren’t doing it right/enough/effectively?
True, it’s often a waste of time.
I used to adamantly believe that everyone can learn how to do social media themselves, and should do some of it themselves for at least a month so that they can be more responsible if they outsource it. By doing so, they will be able to understand better what works and what doesn’t. I’d seen so many people hiring in interns and their teenage relatives, and with very little information imparted about their business, handing over the keys and the passwords to their social profiles.
Did you know we actually run social media for clients? Maybe you did, maybe you didn’t but you know now. I thought writing this article would be a useful way to explain what’s involved and why we do things in this particular way. Hope it’s useful, questions and comments are always welcome!

Hello! As part of my role here as the founder and CEO at TLD, over the years, I’ve run many workshops on social media (including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn), blogging, and content marketing (which encompasses blogging and social media). These workshops are “small group workshops” and usually we have 3-5 attendees, so I can really tailor the speed and content accordingly, and give individual advice! They’re great and I enjoy them too. I have to, however, acknowledge that not everyone can come.
Here are 8 possible reasons why you won’t be coming!
We know what you’re thinking, why pay more for a custom, bespoke website when you can purchase a theme for quite a lot less?
I often hear the internet being compared to a rabbit hole – people complain that they get sidetracked when they are meant to be doing “productive tasks”, and fall into the rabbit hole of the internet. If people are doing it anyway, wouldnt it be nice if they were stuck reading/watching YOUR published articles/videos/other content?
