Love is all around us - and this month we are just loving all of our fabulous clients. We have even gone as far as "hugging" some of you. If you haven't been hugged yet, never fear, we are coming for you next! Want us to move your hug to the top of the pile? Email us and let us know how our hug can help you or your business.

We have also been loving our clients by educating them. Keren has already done two seminars (which anyone can attend) on blogging and social media. Sound like something you would like to learn more about? Why not join us at our next social media seminar which will be held on the 17th February. Need more motivation? Does the word 'cupcakes' stir any desire in you? How about special homemade TLD branded cupcakes? (#drool)

To find out what else we have been up to read on about 2 French men, Urns and our latest launched projects!

I'm being Urn-est! It's huge!

I'm being Urn-est! It's huge!

What a success our past two seminars have been!! Partly due to the newest member of the TLD team: let us introduce "Urn-ie!" (snigger) After the over-boiling of the usual kettle in our first seminar we decided that a somewhat LARGER replacement was in order to cater for the ever popular tea and coffee breaks, hence the introduction of a giant urn into our midst. Only problem now is that, being the size he is, we don't quite know where to put him.

Hug a client week

OK, so we haven't literally been hugging them, but some of our clients may have noticed small (but lovely) improvements to their websites! Examples of us showing our love include gestures such as updating footer copyright date to 2011, making sure any blog posts that have been uploaded have the correct size images, and generally "checking in" with them and seeing if all is well! Of course we ask permission on all counts.

We've also added any websites that have blogs to a special dashboard which means we can monitor all of them at a glance and make sure that all are running the latest versions of Wordpress and any plugins. If you want an actual hug, come stop by TLD Towers and we'll see what we can do - keeping it appropriate and family friendly of course!

TLD's recent (turquoisey) site launches

We are always very proud of the work we put out and are always looking for an opportunity to brag. Because that's good marketing, innit (sort of)? Below are three websites we have recently launched.

AWAD

AWAD website

AWAD (the Association of Women Art Dealers) promotes collaborations and business deals between women art dealers and gallerists in the UK. We designed their new website and launched the site within a few weeks of starting. The site has been built in Wordpress which gives AWAD the opportunity to update all aspects of the site themselves. A special feature in this site is the updatable events calendar.

OWL Regulatory Consulting

OWL Regulatory Consulting website

Taking inspiration from the "owl" theme we designed a website for OWL Regulatory Consulting that matched the calm, professional appeal that this company portrays, with a slightly quirky surprise in the form of a custom 404 page!

Aprirose

Aprirose website

Aprirose specialise in real estate investment for both individuals and institutions. We designed them a brand new site to showcase their services and portfolio. We especially love the team page! Image and content was very important in this website and using photos taken on location at Aprirose gives a friendly, approachable feel. The copy was written by Anne Bacon of AB Consult.

Our super successful social media seminars

Our super successful social media seminars

Below are some comments from people that attended our seminars that were held on the 20th and 26th of January – all about Blogging, Twitter and LinkedIn for business.

Copywriter Brendan Saunton said: "Keren is a charming host and a fluent and accomplished presenter with a relaxed style all of her own. She explained the ‘who’ and ‘why’ as well as the ‘how’ of blogging. Even the food was well thought out."

Bespoke wedding dress designer Yemi Osunkoya said: "Keren’s knowledge in this field is exemplary and she was able to deliver this in a clear, concise and easily understandable manner. I have already begun to put knowledge acquired at the workshop to use and they have already started showing results."

Designer and Illustrator Michael Marks said: "The seminar was rendered painless by the comfortable and welcoming environment and the homemade cupcakes. After one session you’ll understand if blogging is right for you, what you should be saying, how you should be saying it and who you should be saying it to."

Told you there were cupcakes!

Meet Etienne & Kevin - our French interns

Meet Etienne & Kevin - our lovely French interns

We currently have deux (that’s 2) French interns working at Top Left Design – Kevin and Etienne. They have relocated from Dijon to London for 3 months especially to work with us! (And yes, they did bring some mustard for us)

They have been helping us out with workload and have been doing an excellent job so far! Etienne enjoyed some famous TLD hospitality when we celebrated his birthday last week – Tina prepared a lovely meal of home-made lasagne for us all to feast on. (Which was delicious, but didn't help out with our healthy new year's resolutions!)

We hope that they will both gain a lot of valuable experience during their time at Top Left Design, and we’ll be sad to see them go at the end of March!
