Is it spring? Ish...

Weather-wise, it's been unpredictable - sunny/rainy/sunny/rainy, but it IS spring - the clocks have changed, Easter holidays have passed, and we are firmly in "Q2". Oh yeah, and there was a volcano eruption. And whenever a volcano erupts, it is a good time to look at your business, review how you did in the first quarter of Twenty Ten, before the volcano, and what your plans are for this quarter and the rest of the year. We at Top Left Design work hard to help our clients with their online and offline marketing design needs (even when there is a volcano) and we also "practice what we preach" which is why you are reading an e-newsletter with links to our blog posts and Twitter page!

Tamlyn joins the TLD team!

Another South African, Tamlyn already did quite a lot of freelance work for us before joining the team full time in March 2010. She designed our Twitter page as well! She also drew the monkeys in this newsletter header! We are very pleased to have her as part of our team!

We've been busy little bees (remember, Spring = bees) here at Top Left Design, and while it's sometimes sad to complete a project, more wonderful new clients are getting the famous TLD Treatment every day! Here are some of our most recently launched websites for some of our most recently pleased clients!

We are famous - well one of our clients is. This was a project that had to be done super speedy and we had to keep the work top secret until the day of the launch, as our client Cub Housing was also going to be exhibiting at the Ideal Home Show. The result was a website which we are all really proud of, and we also went to the Ideal Home Show to support Darrin and Charlie from Cub.

Working along with Abbie Tanner from A Business Innovation, we produced this website for Fish Financial, a forward thinking new model IFA firm based in Farnham. They didn't want to look like a typical IFA firm and we all agree we succeeded in creating something completely different.

As many of you know, last year Amy moved back to South Africa and has been working from over there for Top Left Design. Many of our clients who work with Amy have said they can hardly notice - that's the wonders of remote working. While over there, Amy started working on a website for a charity, which is our first pro bono charity project.

At Top Left Design we have been going all out with our bespoke backgrounds for our clients. One of our most recent designs was for Katie Caldesi's Twitter page. We took lovely photographs from Katie's book “The Italian Cookery Course“ and montaged them together to create this great background!

It was Tina's birthday and this year we decided to go and have some fun times in the trees at Go Ape. A brand new course has opened in Black Park, Slough (right next door to the famous Pinewood Studios!), and will put you through 5 sites of crossings, including a 165m zipline at heights of 29ft! We had great fun acting like monkeys, and you can read the full blog post and see all the pictures here!
