Helloooooooooo! (said in a very scary voice)
We hope you are all getting into the spirit of Halloween. And as it's "OCTOBER" (which comes from the root "OCT" meaning the number 8 - we are celebrating the number 8!). We are doing this by showcasing 8 new websites we have launched since last newsletter, our team of 8 members of staff (OMG) and the introduction of a new character to our TLD animal collection (you may have already noticed the owl, the snail, the bunny, the unicorn, the monkey and the bee) - please welcome - Henry the Octopus! He currently resides at the footer of this newsletter, as he is quite shy.
Last Halloween we provided you with a selection of illustrated TLD trick or treaters, each one representing someone from our team. We wouldn't expect you to be able to know who is who - as we are effectively in disguise. Still you can check and send us a guess (why? because there is a secret mystery prize of course!). Try emailing us with a "from left to right" guess and we will let you know if you have been successful!

We did 3 seminars in a row
We wanted to send you a quick update on all that's going on. We have been very busy running 3 seminars in September and October - Keren and Tamsin Fox-Davies did one called "Social Media - can you afford to ignore it?" with the Twitter hashtag #dontignoreit and then the following week we did another on "Social Media for Professional Services" with Alicia Cowan. Then, without so much of a breather, we did the ultra famous "Pimp My Website" event. We will be running another Pimp my Website next year on the 27th of January - will keep you posted when we launch the booking page for that!

Our team of 8 goes for growth
We have a lot of plans up our sleeves and really a lot more sleeves come to think of it! We have grown our team somewhat and you can actually see them all on our team page. We thought we should do Halloween Costumes for Halloween but as a tribute to Michael's Movember efforts we decided to go with a different theme. Go Team Moustache!

Tamlyn's 26 mile jog
Our very own Tamlyn is off to run the New York Marathon!
She's been training hard and still working hard designing fantastic websites and logos, drawing Oliver the Owl in his pumpkin suit, and Henry the Octopus and we've snapped a picture of her below - she even baked us a batch of her famous cupcakes as well today! WOW, she truly is our very own superwoman!

8 website launches (in celebration of the number 8)
Yes, we DO know that October is the 10th month - but we still want to focus on the number 8 - have a look at our 8 latest website launches!:
Frank Boltman is a successful restaurant consultant, and has run many eateries in his 30 years experience. Having run his successful "Thanks For Franks" restaurant in Soho, Frank is now branching out into consultancy - and needed a website to showcase his extensive experience! Frank was delighted with the website that we designed for him, and just looking at it makes us hungry!

Kell Skött Haircare, an award winning hair salon, initially came to us wanting a few updates to their current site and then decided to go for a complete redesign instead! The salons are very much focused on the whole experience, not just the haircut, and they wanted to bring this friendly and relaxed, yet professional vibe into the look and feel of the website. They offer delicious complementary chocolate brownies and have two resident (brownie loving!) salon spaniels who make appearances throughout the site, even starring in their very own custom 404 page!

Blue Dot Consulting are Chartered Accountants who specialise in accounting and financial management for businesses and provide tax advice for companies and individuals. Blue Dot wanted a fresh looking site which highlighted their core services on their landing page. As well as the use of a lead generation magnet, we also added fading testimonials and fading images with key messages on them. The site has a blog and there are some great video testimonials and tutorials on there.

Michael re-designed his "Movember Mike" website for 2011 - giving it a fresh look and feel for this year's moustache season! What's more, he built it himself using a "responsive grid" - which basically means that the site will look great across all screen sizes, and even on an iPhone! Try resizing the page and watch it re-arrange - and don't forget to donate!

Fortitude is a Financial Planning company that was looking to update their website. They wanted the site to be clean and modern without looking too corporate. The website makes use of some great functionality such as a blog with a feed on the home page, we also have a fading animation on this page and fading testimonials on the case studies page. But the part we are most proud of is their fantastic about us page - the profiles change when you click on the team photos - go give it a try!

Nicholas Peters & Co are chartered accountants and registered auditors. We were set the challenge of designing them a brand new website which would attract new clients and give people more information about the services they provide. We added an image slider to the home page which links though to their testimonials page and a lead generation magnet in the form of a FREE downloadable PDF. There are lots of call for actions in this site which take you through to important parts of the site the client wished to highlight.

Seminars@thirtyeight is a centre for professional development for the whole dental team. They provide seminar facilities for dentistry talks and events in their inspirational seminar space. They came to us as they wanted to update the design of their old website. The site is built using Wordpress so that the client can update the text and images on the site themselves. We also added a custom events plugin which allows Seminars@thirtyeight to highlight their latest events. Why not check out their upcoming events and find out more about their stylish venue.

Flawless Feet is a chiropody and podiatry clinic run by Hiren Patel. He aims to provide a high quality and reliable podiatry service for his patients within a relaxing and friendly environment. Hiren came to us wanting a new site that reflected the services he offered, but in a way that stood out from other Podiatry sites out there. Using his brand colours we created a site that is fresh and vibrant, but professional and informative at the same time, and one that stands out from the crowd!
