Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith

No sooner had Tamlyn started than we decided to ship her off for a weekend up in the country to participate in some fun activities, and teach a bunch of kids the finer points of website design.
Keren and Tamlyn spent 2 days "roughing it", while giving talks and tutorials, interspersed with outdoor challenges such as canoeing, and climbing a totem pole only to jump off once at the top!

Check out Tamlyn's recent blog post about the weekend!

What is Make My Lunch ©?

Make My Lunch

It's becoming a tradition at Top Left Design for us to make lunch for each other! This was first mentioned in a previous newsletter but in case you missed it, we have cleverly dubbed this activity: "Make My Lunch ©".
Nobody has had food poisoning yet (touch wood), and you can read all about our culinary adventures (including BRANDED Top Left Design cupcakes!) in the blog post that Tamlyn has cooked up (with pictures of course)!

Social Media Guru Factory

Enthuse

Keren will be teaching, alongside Tamsin Fox-Davies, close friend of the TLD team, in a 2-part social media workshop on the 16th of July. The workshop will cater for beginners in the morning session, and for those with a deft social media hand already, there will be an advanced class in the afternoon! It will be hands on and each attendee will be at a PC screen setting up and learning "live" how to use social media effectively. Of course, if you're completely new to the wonderful world of Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook (in terms of marketing your business), then you can attend both sessions and emerge a bonafide Social Media Guru! Good times!
You'll be put through the paces, and by the end of the session, will have a clear strategy for progressing your online presence via the many free tools available at your disposal!

A handy free tool to keep track of the
World Cup

World Cup

Every 4 years, the general public goes mad over a ball. A fairly accurate summary, wouldn't you say?
Regardless, love it or hate it, the World Cup is here, and 32 countries will battle it out to decide who has won... THE FOOTBALL!
The battle-horns are being sounded off (in case you hadn't heard), and you can track the progress of your favourite country using this handy tool: World Cup Calendar - and if you think like us that it's a handy tool, re-tweet this to your Twitter followers!

Check out this hilarious parody of Sky Sports' over-the-top coverage!

Football

Now that you're in the mood, why not check out 32 ways the world cup could be improved by technology or this crazy giant sculpture made out of 3000 balls!

TLD's recent site launches

When we're not out and about galavanting, throwing ourselves out of trees, or cooking each other delicious meals, we try and make a website or two. In fact, here's three of our recent favourites - bonus!

Northstar

Northstar

It has been a pleasure working with Northstar UK, as is always the case when a client is as friendly as we are! We've enjoyed creating them a brand new blog website, complete with custom Wordpress features such as Author Bios, and their very own custom Wiki - Northpedia! They made us proud too by creating 31 blog posts in time for their launch.

Editworks

Editworks

We were astounded by the way this client works so efficiently, providing us with decisions, content, feedback and images quickly so we could progress the Editworks website to launch quickly. We are also very proud of the end result, as are they. When we launched this, we got excellent remarks, and so did the copywtiter on the job - Sarah Turner from Turnerink

Kate Eyre

Kate Eyre

When we designed the new website for Kate Eyre Garden Design, we wanted it to be sleek, clean and crisp. It had to show off the beautiful images of her work, and compliment the effort that had gone into creating the gardens themselves!
Using strong colours, a simple yet effective layout, and some funky gallery scripts, we have presented Kate's work in an easy to navigate, and aesthetically pleasing way! Let us know what you think!

June Sale - offer

We ALWAYS have an offer in our newsletters, and we definitely would love to turn our design minds, hands and creativity to new projects this summer. And since all the stores on the high street are having sales, we thought let's do one too! So, we would like to offer any client who decides to go ahead with a NEW WEBSITE, NEW BLOG, of NEW NEWSLETTER a very generous 20% off - if you just get in touch before the end of June! That is pretty amazing, ask anyone who can spot a good deal when they see one. You do have to answer one simple question though: How many pictures of footballs are there in this newsletter? If you have the correct answer, send through an email with the subject "JUNE-SALE" and put the answer in the email! Simples!

And finally...

Good luck to whoever you may be supporting in the World Cup, but remember, there can be only one!

If you need us, send through an email, tweet us, learn Morse Code and hoot us on a Vuvuzela, or call us on 020 7486 2629!
