20th and 26th on blogging and social media

Hello there!

Hope you are all getting settled in to the new year, and have documented your goals and plans in nice new stationery and diaries. I wanted to let you know about 2 seminars we are running in January, as we mentioned these in our December issue of our email newsletter, but it was amongst so much other exciting news (like our new Facebook page) that perhaps you didn't see it. I gave a few people a reward for reading to the bottom of our October newsletter and this is what prompted the whole idea to run these seminars in our own offices.

Social media is here to stay, and there are people doing it well and people doing it badly. You hear stories about big brands who are using it quite cleverly and have teams of staff all working full time on running social media campaigns. But for small businesses the behaviour is, and should be, very different. Using social media wisely you can progress in leaps and bounds in terms of making new contacts, meeting introducers, building relationships, moving those contacts into "real life" and representing your company brand.

I will be running the seminar for a total of 4 hours with breaks (and cupcakes) - this will cover a lot of information, but will be presented in an extremely easy to follow and easy to remember way. We even give you a handout full of notes so you don't forget anything! Having been to many seminars myself, I know what I like and have worked hard to include this in the seminars we are running. Read on for some characteristics of our seminars.

Lunch and Snacks
We are going to be serving lunch or snacks in our seminar events, and unlimited hot and cold drinks. I believe this helps you learn better as you won't be distracted by gnawing hunger or thirst.

Learning
I have a straightforward style of training which is both informal and informative. Many people have commented on how the training they receive from me has lifted the wool from their eyes, so to speak.

I will be showing lots of examples for you to see live how blogs and social media is used in the real world. When you see real life examples it really helps the penny drop.

Blogging for business - this Thursday: In this course - and we have only a few places left for this - as it's THIS WEEK - I will answer questions like - which blogging tool is best for my business? How do I ensure my brand values are communicated? How do I come up with ideas of what to blog about? How do I post blogs in Wordpress? And lots more.

However you might feel about blogs - I can assure you they are important, but more than that, they are a wonderful and fantastic thing - and they can give people back control over their internet presence - without fear of embarrassment of not knowing what you are doing. So definitely book and pass this message on!
