And Finally
The Secrets to Social Media Success
On Friday 16th of October, Keren teamed up with Tamsin Fox-Davies from Enthuse Marketing to deliver a half day workshop on all things Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook. We went through the difference between tweets and status updates, followers, friends and contacts, groups and fan pages, and much more. It was such great fun that we are planning an advanced session next. One delegate, Fiona Worthington from Diva Ski, said: "All you ever wanted to know about social networking and were afraid to ask - an invaluable workshop which catered for novices as well as a seasoned 'tweeters' - informative, interactive, with lots of practical suggestions, tricks and tips. An affordable day well spent honing marketing skills and meeting like minded enthusiasts."
Many thanks to Marilena from Athena London for helping to organise the event. Please contact us if you have an idea for a seminar you'd like us to participate in, now that we are on a roll! Also, please follow us on Twitter.

The mysterious disappearance of Amy
Where did Amy go? Well, we knew she was leaving London, actually. But she hasn't really left us, she is still working for Top Left Design, though now from South Africa. In fact, as we write this newsletter we are speaking to her simultaneously on Skype. From now on she will be working remotely. The wonders of modern technology!
On Wednesday the 14th, Amy's last day in the London office, we had a day which we named "Amy Day". This included massages, tea at the Dorchester, and a game called "The Wish" specially facilitated by Tamsin Fox-Davies. We have a full article of what happened on the day on our Amy Day blog - View Amy Day Story Here.

Michael joins TLD!
 | | Michael joined on 19 October, after surviving our rigorous recruitment process. He has a Digital Media degree from London Metropolitan University, and he previously worked at an advertising company in Tipperary, Ireland. Having already gotten his head around our storyboards, invoices, and hosting, Michael commented: "I am enjoying it so far." We also caught up with another team member, Tina "No-longer-the-newby" Webster, who said about Michael, "It's great to have a man join the team!" |

welbeckstreet.org
This is a new site intended to network Welbeck Street businesses, initiated by Top Left Design along with Alex Caplan from Synergy Associates (IT Support on Welbeck Street). The organisation has already sponsored 2 events, built a blog, and even put some businesses into the website directory. A good start by anyone's standards! At welbeckstreet.org local businesses can introduce themselves, contribute marketing articles, and get to know others on the street. We think it's a pretty good idea!
