Soho House lunchtime talk - 9 things you need to do on LinkedIn for business

Soho House lunchtime talk preview: Nine things you need to do on LinkedIn for business

One of my big goals a year ago was to get myself into speaking at Soho House! They regularly run events, and I have been a member for 4 years.
Bravely, I put myself out there, and on the 3rd June 2016 I did one of their “Lunchtime Talks” on the subject “Extreme Twitter”

Talk two is coming up this month!

Thanks to social media, the people in a business are key to differentiating, and their profiles, connections and updates create a window into company culture for prospects and partners alike.
Your LinkedIn profile really can represent the face of your business, which is why my next next social media workshop at Soho House will reveal the ‘nine key things you need to do on LinkedIn for business’.
I’ve made no secret of my love for LinkedIn and how underused I think it is despite its potential to give so much traction. LinkedIn has become one of the best platforms for business and a first port of call for those seeking to find out more about your company.

  1. How do you ‘do LinkedIn properly’?
  2. How can it be used to give the right first impression to your customers?
  3. What do your customers really want to see on your profile?

These are just some of the questions I will answer!

The free version

LinkedIn offers some amazing free opportunities to market yourself and your business, and my workshop will show you how to leverage these to build trust, connections and personal branding – all on the free version of the platform..
Social media is all about making connections and building a community. Your website is the homebase, your blog is the hub and your social channels help you build connections – which, in turn, generate opportunities. The more pairs of eyes you have on your business, the better. We’ll start with the basics of creating an impressive and true profile, where I will show you how to best showcase your strengths and help build your personal brand to boost business. We’ll look at LinkedIn’s publishing platform (Pulse) and how to use it to show your expertise and thought leadership, weaving in your key business messages as you go.
With more than 450 million members, LinkedIn has emerged as a huge platform of opportunity and it is more important than ever to get it right.
