Michael Lashley's experience "work shadowing" here at TLD - what he expected and what he got

The happy fellow above is Michael Lashley, who came to visit us for a day at TLD to do “work shadowing”. Below is a little Q+A we did for him

I would firstly like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to come and shadow your fantastic team at TLD. I really had a great day. If you ever need an extra hand for 1 day, 2 weeks or even 1 month over this summer period please let me know.  Finally please find below the answers to your questions:

If you were to describe your experience in three words, what would they be?

Fantastic, insightful, hands-on

What impression did you get about TLD?

The impression I got from TLD is that of a small tightly connected team of professionals, who share a passion for the design and web development industry. The intimate environment gives the office a home/family feel which made a very comfortable working atmosphere. I felt like part of the team during my time at TLD.

Is there anything that surprised you?

The refreshing and engaging relationship between the team was a very pleasant surprise which I think added to the enjoyment of my day.

In order to prepare them, what would you tell another person who was about to come in for a day here?

I would advise a potential shadowing candidate to be prepared to get some hands-on experience get involved in projects as well as have a great day with a great team.

Quick quiz: out of the team, who was a designer and who was a coder?

Keren Lerner – Manager
Tamlyn Hall – Project Manager and Designer
Kevin Plattret – Developer and Programmer
Aric Arthur – Web Designer and Graphic Designer
Chris Dal Din – Artist, Graphic Designer and Web Designer
