I wanted to post this today as it’s Valentine’s Day and this post is dedicated to my main love on social media.

Anyone who has been to my social media seminars knows that I rave about them, and there is a certain light in my eyes when I talk about them.

It’s actually not a person per se – although social media IS all about people and connecting with others.

This is a tool created for busy people like me to allow us to make the most of all the amazing social sharing possibilities on Twitter. It’s called Buffer.

Buffer is a scheduling tool (this sort of feature is available in other social media tools too) which makes it super quick and easy to share things on Twitter. You can have a free account or a paid for account and this allows you to login and set different times you would like your tweets to go out. This way, you aren’t bombarding anyone with tweets non stop all in one go, but you actually get to have your tweets nicely spaced out throughout the day.

I connected my Buffer account with my Bit.ly account so I can track the statistics of all my links, and see which ones are the most popular.

It’s super easy to setup and use, one of the easiest interfaces online today, and so useful. I have a little widget for my Chrome browser, called “Buffer for Chrome” which means anytime I visit a post I like and want to share, I can just click the button and “Add to buffer”

It’s been many months since I became a Buffer user and I can honestly say it’s changed my life, saved me time, and helped me reach far more people on Twitter.

Buffer was founded by two frankly awesome guys Leo and Joel, who do everything right on social media. They have an active useful blog, they allow us to get to know them as people, and they constantly develop their product to make it better for users. A real inspiration in business.
